Los Angeles Lakers or Orlando Magic?
The Lakers are definitely a more experienced team, having been to the finals last year. They also have the NBA's best late game player in Kobe Bryant, as well as one of the all-time winningest coaches in Phil Jackson. Not to mention, the Lakers have home court advantage, which is huge in the finals with the 2-3-2 format, and they were also the best road team during the regular season.
Orlando, on the other hand, beat L.A. both times in the regular season and is a young, hungry team with a lot of talent. They shoot lights out from three land, a major factor contributing to the demise of higher seeded opponents like the Cavs and Celtics. Also, they are highly resilient, having bounced back from multiple buzzer beater losses, and they thrive as the underdog, having knocked off the Celtics on the road in game 7 and nearly beating the Cavs (the NBA's best home team this season) twice on their home court.
Taking in all of these facts, I think L.A. will manage to get it done at home and win the championship. They have too much talent and experience for a young Orlando team to contend with. But I do think it will go 7 games, and if the Magic get hot shooting the three ball, watch out....What do you think? Lakers or Magic? Respond with a comment below....
